Recognition 2012 is an 'opening doors' day of activities and taster sessions for local young people to highlight whats on offer to them. This opportunity will also allow organisations to network and build stronger relationships with each other.

Recognition is being created by an informal group of local organisations that work with young people, including Lewisham Education Arts Network, Lewisham Library Service / Deptford Lounge, St Nicholas Church and many others.
We currently have commitment from 19 local organisations to offer free or concessional activities on the day. Activities can be used by organisations to raise the profile of their work and recruit new young people.
Recognition is about widening access and are hoping to be able to offer a crèche on the day to allow teenage parents to become involved as well as working with organisations to promote the event to as wide an audience as possible.
