A unique one-day national conference for all those in both the formal and informal sectors: primary and secondary school teachers, FE and HE lecturers, community and youth dance practitioners, managers and dance artists reflecting the urgent need to bring together all concerned for the future of dance both in and beyond schools.

Organised by the NDTA in partnership with Youth Dance England, the Royal Opera House and the Dance Educators Group.
Through practical workshops, seminars, performances and keynote speeches the conference will explore current political, cultural and educational changes in policy, practice and pedagogy affecting dance for children and young people. The day will include a vital update on:
- Arts, dance and cultural policy
- National curriculum
- School examinations
- Dance education research
- Partnership practice between schools and professional dance sector
- Current practice in dance teaching across all ages
