About the project:
The Fellowship Inn

Phoenix Community Housing has recently been awarded £4.7
million
from the Heritage Lottery Fund to renovate a Grade 2 listed
building in Bellingham. The iconic Fellowship Inn is steeped in history having been
built for returning soldiers from the First World War. We plan to refurbish the
building to create a cinema, restaurant, cafe area and a live music/performance
space, as well as making a space that the whole community can enjoy.

Community Activities
Part of our plans involve an array of community activities,
such as a community play which will be managed by Greenwich and Lewisham Young
Peoples Theatre, an oral history project managed by The Working Party and a
heritage tapestry project created by Stitches in Time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get your pupils involved
in one or more of the creative projects linked to the restoration of the
Fellowship Inn, which we believe will compliment already existing learning
outcomes.
