Since 2000 Lewisham Education Arts Network has been
supporting the local arts education sector and works with all those involved in
arts learning with, and for, children and young people in Lewisham.
From 4:30pm-7:30pm on 6 February 2020 we are bringing
together our network of teachers, artists, charity workers, health
professionals and advocates for the arts, to come together with local young people, for an
evening of inspiring talks and lively debate.
Join us to hear:
- A roundup of the key findings from the Durham Commission Report from Nicky Morgan, Director of Special Projects, Arts Council England
- News about the local schools’ led Arts Learning Hub from Lisa Drage, Assistant Head of Kilmorie School and Hub Manager
- More about Lewisham’s Curriculum for Life devised through consultation with local young people from Jacob Sakil, Advisor to the Young Mayor of Lewisham and Former Young Mayor of Lewisham 2009/2010
- Hear from and debate with local young creatives
This event will be held in the Fellowship and Star, a Grade
II listed, Heritage Lottery funded restored pub in Bellingham.
Please arrive at 4:30pm for tea and coffee. The programme will begin at 5pm
