Conference Raising the Voice of Community Through the Arts

You are invited to attend a national conference - hosted at Chickenshed, London N14 on Thursday 20 October – exploring HOW and WHY to raise the voice of ‘community’ through the arts. The day will consist of:

  • Leading Key-Note Speakers on the subjects of community-led action and using arts as a tool for social change.
  • Breakout sessions and workshops facilitated and led by community practitioners, arts organisations and individuals working towards social change in community.
  • Panel discussions on the themes of ‘changing the narrative through the arts from a grass roots approach’ and ‘using art as a tool for change in youth exclusion and exploitation’
  • Performances, films, Q&A and networking opportunities throughout the day

Date: 20/10/2022

This conference is FREE OF CHARGE and we are encouraging attendees to come for the whole day. However, if you can only spare a few hours, we have split the event into two sessions: 12.30pm – 4pm and 4.30pm – 8pm.

A buffet will be provided between the first and second session on a ‘pay what you can’ basis and, following the second session at 8pm, there will be time for refreshments and networking in the Chickenshed Café.

To book your place and to find out more information please click on the button below. PLEASE NOTE: You can either book for just one of the sessions, or both sessions. If you would like to attend both sessions, you will need to book each of these separately.

If you have any access requirements or enquires about the conference, please don’t hesitate to contact us by emailing clairec@chickenshed.org.uk.
