A professional development programme for artists by artists
With Keynote from Ceri Hand Working with Artists in the Shifting Gallery Landscape
Book here: https://bowskillslablaunch.eventbrite.co.uk
To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we are launching a dynamic and
relevant programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). It is
led by Bow Arts artist Elizabeth Murton, in consultation with an
artists’ steering group and informed by artist feedback. We have
designed a programme with and for our community of artists to help them
develop their careers.
We are delighted to welcome Ceri Hand as our keynote speaker for the launch event of Bow Skills Lab.
With 25 years working in the arts, Ceri will cover her experience of
commissioning and exhibiting artists in diverse settings, good practice,
top tips for artists and an overview of the changing gallery landscape.
The talk will end with a Q&A where Ceri will be joined by Rob
Smith, Head of Education and Learning at Bow Arts, Rosamond Murdoch
Gallery Director at Bow Arts and a Bow Artist. Rob brokers partnerships
across different settings and commissioners, works with artists to run
education programmes and develop public art works. Rosamond directs the
Nunnery Gallery at Bow Arts and coordinates exhibitions such as the East
London Painting Prize.
We look forward to seeing you on the 28th to join us in raising a
glass to launch the Bow Skills Lab Programme. Doors open at 6.30 and
talk starts at promptly at 6.50.
