Art and artists are the focus of the event with debate merging with performances, films, music, improvisations, readings, and artists interventions at every turn. Surf your way through stands, stalls, installations and happenings celebrating the work of some of our most significant artists.

Artists and speakers who have already agreed to contribute and participate include Jeremy Deller, Maureen Duffy, Leo Fitzmaurice, Haroon Mirza, Lynda Morris, Cornelia Parker, John Smith, Mark Wallinger and Richard Wentworth.
The Art Funds Director, Stephen Deuchar, will be in conversation with an artist or two, revealing what first turned him onto art and discussing why art is so important.
NSEAD (National Society for Education in Art & Design) will launch their alternative curriculum at the conference, with an art-room seminar exploring the role of arts in education.
A series of conversations and interviews between artists and significant players in the arts and educational funding and policy fields is in preparation. We hope that the appropriate Ministers in both the Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet will accept an invitation along with a senior Arts Council England representative, and that they will be keen to address Bob and Roberta Smiths questions. Well be flagging up the speakers nearer to the event, so watch this space.
Finally, as night falls well be putting the party into The Art Party, with an array of bands and DJ sets including Haroon Mirza, Janette Parris, the notorious Ken Ardley Playboys of Ding Dong Twist Club fame, Andy Holdens The Grubby Mitts, the fabulous Fucks and the unmissable Flame Proof Moth.
