Anti-Poverty Initiatives in Schools Event

The Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), together with the Greater London Authority (GLA), would like to invite you to a learning event on what schools can do to tackle child poverty. The event is part of a wider research project.

Date: 25/04/2024 – 25/04/2024

Time:12:00

At the meeting we will present initial findings from the research
project for discussion and reflection. There will be a series of panel
discussions on building effective networks and partnerships, engaging
children and families
, and understanding the need in your school.
Practitioners with expertise have been invited to speak about their experience
of delivering initiatives such as extended days, holiday clubs, food provision,
advice and support for parents, and more.

We anticipate the event will provide useful lessons for schools
and others interested in developing their work in this area. It will also be a
good opportunity for networking with other practitioners working in similar
areas across London and nationally. Invitees include schools, voluntary sector
organisations, faith groups, professional bodies and unions, local authority
representatives, academics and funders.

Please RSVP to Sophie Howes, Senior Policy and Research Officer at
