Nobody Likes A DoGooder
This award-winning contemporary adaptation of Ibsen’s firecracker of a play is set in Cornwall in the heart of a close-knit community. Dr Stockmann and her brother, the Mayor, have founded a Co-Operative Health Spa and their towns fortunes are transformed. So when she discovers that the health of the planet is threatened by one of their business deals, she assumes everyone will want to put things right. Its a no brainer right? Wrong.Sister and brother discover that they are bound by blood and divided by philosophy.
At the public meeting, where the cast are joined by our chorus of local people, whose voices will be heard? Who is right? You the audience decide, and the cast perform the ending that you choose.
Tickets start from £6 and we also offer heavily subsidised workshops for Lewisham schools and the chance to meet the cast at our teachers tea party in September. The production and workshops are suitable for students aged 14+.
