PSLA are providing a
course for Children’s Centre staff and other partners working with families
with no recourse to public funds.  The Training will be delivered by
Project 17

The training covers the following areas:

What is ‘no recourse to public funds’?Identifying immigration status and entitlementsSupport for families: section 17 of the Children Act 1989Child in need assessments and human rights assessmentsCommon problems accessing support (and how to overcome them)Rights and entitlements to other statutory services

 

This course will enables
frontline workers in Children’s Centres and elsewhere to better support service
users facing destitution because they have no legal right to work, claim
benefits or access social housing in the UK.
