A New Direction TeachMeet: Creative Careers – EVENT POSTPONED

Join us for an inspiring twilight event, bringing together experts from the creative industries and schools to share experiences & offer new opportunities for introducing students to the creative industries.

Led by A New Direction Advocate Alex Edinboro, Subject Lead of Drama at Haberdasher’s Aske’s Crayford Academy, this TeachMeet will focus on opportunities and links within the creative industries for students. Hear from expert guest speakers, network with industry professionals and practitioners, and find out what is on offer for schools in and around London. 

This event is suitable for teachers and teaching assistants working in London schools, from all disciplines and Key Stages, with an interest in careers in the creative industries. Cultural organisations with an interest and experience in supporting schools are also welcome.

Refreshments will be provided. This venue is fully accessible.

We are particularly keen to hear from speakers meeting one of the following criteria:

  • Speakers from schools that have an established and highly successful approach to careers work

  • Speakers from arts/ cultural organisations that have an interest/ experience in introducing young people to the creative industries 

  • Speakers from Artsmark Partner organisations or Platinum Artsmark Schools on how Artsmark/Arts Award can support careers work in schools.
