A very special site-specific run of Jim Cartwright's classic play "Two" at Dirty Dicks Pub in Liverpool Street. We are looking to add school matinees of the show (as it is a syllabus text) which include a Q & A session with the cast. Read on to find out about low price tickets for schools.

Back in April, Dispense Theatre produced a short run of Jim Carwrights Two at Dirty Dicks Pub in Liverpool Street. It was a special site-specific performance, housed in the cellar bar of the pub, which involved the play being performed both from behind the bar and amongst the audience who, for each performance, became the pub crowd of the setting. The production was a great success, drawing much praise from the audience including English Touring Theatre who called it An inspired and brilliantly executed new site-specific production of a timeless classic (Claire Birch, Associate Producer, ETT).
Because of the response, we are now producing a second run of the show, from 11th 28th September 2010, at the same venue in Liverpool Street. This marks the 21st Anniversary of the show, and we are aiming to make it bigger and better to really celebrate the anniversary in style.
Dispense Theatre is a new company, formed by two graduates of the Bridge Theatre Training Company (Simon Pennicott and Nicky Diss), with the intention to provide quality site-specific theatre at prices that do not prove inhibitive to audiences.
As the play is a standard on the syllabus, and a fantastic example of site-specific theatre, we are looking into doing special school matinees during the period of the run, at a special rate, and including a Q&A session with the actors. We therefore wanted to see what interest there was from the school community so we could formalise the matinee situation more. We are able to do matinees on any day weekday from 11th 28th September (start time would be 1pm/1.30pm), can accommodate up to 40 students/teachers and the are aiming to make the cost for this as low as possible (around £200 in total for the show with workshop).
