Delivered by expert practitioners through a combination of online and
face to face learning, The Teaching Musician is a flexible programme designed
to fit around your working life. The programme offers music educators working
in any genre or educational setting the opportunity to reflect, engage with
research and learn as part of a community of musicians from the UK and
internationally.

Applications for
the 2021 cohort starting February 2021, are now open.Distance learning (with some attendance) and duration 1-4 years.The Teaching Musician is a postgraduate programme, developed to support and recognise the skills of musicians working in music education. It is designed as a professional development programme for musicians working in the UK and beyond in any educational setting: from instrumental and vocal teachers to community music practitioners.Primarily a distance learning programme, it is designed for practitioners looking for a sustained training programme that offers the flexibility to be completed alongside a professional career. The programme offers opportunities to reflect, engage with theory and research, and develop new skills within a community of other practitioners.Applications close on Monday 30th November 2020.
