The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art and design. We enrich people’s lives by promoting the practice of design and increasing knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the designed world.

The V&A has recently acquired the archive of the director Peter Brook thanks to a successful submission to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF.) As part of a range of activities in connection with the bid we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Schools’ Project Co-ordinator to lead on a large-scale year-long project. This will see theatres, museums and schools working together to produce original pieces of theatre, in response to the archive, culminating in performances at the V&A and other venues.

You will have experience of planning and delivering multi-partner projects in museums and/or galleries. You will be an experienced museum and/or gallery educator, able to build excellent working relationships with external project partners and a range of artists. You will have a strong interest in contemporary performance and be committed to helping young people produce work of the highest quality. You will demonstrate experience in managing budgets and reporting to colleagues on financial matters and on the development of the project as part of the V&A’s Schools, Families and Young People’s Learning Team.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 1 year.
