Sedgehill School

Peripatetic Music Tutors

Violin/Viola

Sedgehill
School wishes to appoint a number of peripatetic string teachers. Successful
candidates will become part of the Music in Secondary Schools Trust – the
Andrew Lloyd Webber Programme.

The
programme was launched at Sedgehill School in September 2014. Every year 7 has
been given an instrument and receives group lessons with a peripatetic tutor.
Lessons happen within curriculum time and peripatetic tutors teach small groups
under the direction of the class music teacher.

These
positions are an opportunity for talented and accomplished violin and viola
players to develop their teaching skills through working under the guidance of
the class teacher and within this ground breaking programme.

Sedgehill School is a very successful
performing arts specialist school and we are passionate about the role that
music can play in broadening the horizons, and improving the achievement of our
students. Our music foundation has always provided high quality, free
instrumental tuition leading to top quality performances including those at
national competitions and international tours.

The school is committed to safeguarding and
promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share
this commitment.

For
further information or to apply for this position, please contact nmerivale@sedgehillschool.co.uk

The
closing date for applications is midday on Monday 5th January 2015.

 Interviews will be held shortly
afterwards.
