Futures has been creating theatre inspired by the lives of women
and young people at society’s margins since 1992.  Through research and
development we create new writing and productions that challenge perceptions
and speak authentically about people’s experience of injustice and
prejudice.  Through theatre, engagement and training programs we seek to
motivate change.  We are continuing to build on our reputation of creating
inspiring and engaging new theatre for young adult audiences by expanding our
schools touring program into theatre venues.  Our creative growth
continues through the development of our new writing for adult audiences.
We are forging exciting collaborations with theatre practitioners, leading to
productions in venues and site specific settings.  We are building a
reputation for artistic excellence in theatre venues for new work that is both
bold and truthful.
