Are you an artist who loves the outdoors and working in the community?
London Bubble Theatre Company, well known for their outdoor shows in green spaces are on the look- out for local artists to help them create an event to celebrate Ladywell Fields and the River Ravensbourne.
The one-off event, planned for the evening of Sunday 16th September, will take place along the newly restored banks of the Ravensbourne River, between Ladywell and Catford, where Bubble plan that audiences will encounter music, installations and performance; in and amongst the trees.
The process is being led by co-ordinator Melissa Jane Knight and creative director Jonathan Petherbridge. In the first instance they wish to make contact with artists who would be interested in proposing work that would respond to the flora and fauna (including the people) who inhabit the park. They are particularly interested in ideas that might involve input from co-creators from the community. There is a modest budget.
They are also interested in interviewing park users and gathering memories of the park and comments on how it impacts on local lives. It is possible that these interviews might be used as part of the project either as a provocation, or as material.
