A magnificent pop-up cinema is rising up in the courtyard of the Stephen Lawrence Centre this August Bank Holiday. Step right in and escape into the thrilling world of popular global cinema! 

There’s a whole world of entertaining, populist cinema that isn’t produced in Hollywood - but we don’t often get the chance to see it. This festival is a chance to watch some of the very best popular global cinema on the big screen, and in a truly unique venue.

Step up for action-adventure from India ("The Bourne Identity meets Romeo + Juliet"), hip-hop dance from Vietnam, teen boxing drama from Jamaica and a very sexy thriller from the Congo ("Scorcese in Kinshasa!")

We're screening four feature films a day, plus short films, introductions, food, beer & cocktails - and FREE POPCORN. There's enough entertainment to fill the weekend.
