to anyone running/supporting Arts Award (or interested in doing so) including
teachers, arts organisations, cultural organisations, artists, youth workers,
librarians etc in Greenwich or Lewisham.
At the event you can:
- Extend your knowledge of
Arts Award, including an introduction with Arts Award expert Anthony Ruck
from A New
Direction - Meet Arts Award Advisor Laura
Mercer and hear from her and the young people who took part (Laura works
at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance) - Share your Arts Award experiences:
challenges, ideas, approaches, highs and lows, in a facilitated discussion - Join the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of
Music and Dance Arts Award celebration event, talk to young people
and view their portfolios*

Venue: The event is being held at Trinity
Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Dance Faculty, who are an Arts
Award Centre.
This is a free event
*The Arts Award celebration event immediately follows the networking event, and we will finish our event early to enable you to visit
About Arts Award:
It can be delivered in schools, cultural
organisations, youth clubs, libraries etc, this includes Discover – an introductory award for ages 5
– 25 years and four qualifications: Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold.
About the network:
Together the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Lewisham Education Arts Network (LEAN)
and Greenwich Dance are creating an Arts Award Network. This initiative
aims to support schools, arts organisations, artists, arts award
supporters and centres and all those interested in helping children and
young people develop as artists and arts leaders through Arts Awards.
This network is supported by A New Direction, London’s leader in
cultural education, and will focus on the boroughs of Greenwich and
Lewisham.
